The Martinhal Chiado Family Suites are perfect for a city break in Lisbon with kids. Known as ‘The World’s First City-Centre Elegant Family Hotel”, Martinhal Chiado is located in the heart of downtown Lisbon. It’s philosophy is centred around keeping children safe, entertained and happy and it does this brilliantly.
This hotel is in a beautiful 19th Century building and has 37 suites (ranging from studio to two-bed suites). All suites have a separate seating area, dining area, private bathroom and well equipped kitchen with a cooker, fridge, dishwasher, washer-dryer, and cutlery and crockery. Linen and towels are also provided.
The on-site M Bar is a family café lounge which serves a buffet breakfast and light-meals throughout the day. Breakfast baskets and an in-room dining menu are also available. Alternatively, there are a wide range of cafes and restaurants near to the Martinhal Chiado Family Suites.

The family concierge at the Martinhal Chiado Family Suites is on hand to facilitate your stay in Lisbon with kids. Not only do they ensure you have age-appropriate child facilities in your suite (including potties, sterilisers, stair-gates, etc), they also offer a babysitting service and run the Kids Club for children from 6 months to early teens. The club has been designed to offer stimulation and security for the different age groups – from play mats to PlayStations and baby walkers to climbing walls.
When parents wish to explore the fabulous city of Lisbon at night, the Kids Club runs ‘pyjama parties’ where children are encouraged to come in their pyjamas for the evening so they are comfortable if they fall asleep in the custom-designed areas – every detail has been thought-through and cleverly designed.
