Vila Valverde – Design & Country Hotel

Previously a 19th Century Manor House and only minutes from the beautiful beach of Praia da Luz, Vila Valverde has been wonderfully converted into a superb, very stylish hotel. The conversion successfully combines elegance with contemporary interiors and a particular architectural style emphasizing space and light. This is achieved with a perfect mix of steel, pale wood and a lot of glass in order to appreciate the perfect blue of the wonderful Algarve sky by ‘bringing the outside in’.

Perfectly located, Vila Valverde is on the outskirts of Praia da Luz with its attractive, cobblestone streets and just 900 metres from the nearest beach. The hotel sits on a 5 hectare estate and has a vast panoramic lawned area, orange trees, a spring and a small lake. A long drive, adorned with olive trees, takes you to this wonderful hotel.

The hotel has 15 elegant and very spacious ensuite bedrooms, all individually decorated in a contemporary decor. All have floor-to-ceiling windows, plush beds, terrace or balcony, seating area, air conditioning, under floor heating, Satellite television, telephone, internet access, safe, bath robes and hairdryer. Some bedrooms feature a glass wall dividing the bedroom and bathroom, creating a sense of even more space.

The communal areas, with high ceilings and lots of natural light are furnished with comfortable sofas and provide a calm and relaxing environment. There is a bar and the contemporary restaurant serves regional and international cuisine. Breakfast is served on the outside terrace, weather permitting, and light meals and snacks are available throughout the day.

The atmosphere of peace and calm, which Vila Valverde creates, continues to the wonderful grounds. The beautiful garden, swimming pool and terrace, with panoramic views, are the perfect place to relax in the hot Algarve sun.

Vila Valverde also has a heated indoor swimming pool, plunge pool, sauna and treatment rooms offering massage and a varied programme of relaxing, invigorating treatments and beauty treatments.

Facilities include, room service, TV room, conference room, lift, airport shuttle (surcharge), luggage storage, laundry and ironing service, car hire, fax/photocopying, wifi in public areas and free parking. Pets are not allowed.

There are many wonderful beaches in the area including the lovely sheltered Dona Ana beach, Praia do Camilo and Meia Praia which stretches for 4 kilometers east of the lively town of Lagos with its marina, shops and cafes situated in one of the largest bays in The Algarve.

The hotel can organise tours to Silves, Monchique, Lagos, Lisbon etc and activities such as big game fishing, jeep safari, horse riding, sailing, diving, bicycle tours, golf, tennis etc. The nearest golf course, Boavista, is a few hundred metres away.
