Description
The Hotel Flor Da Rosa has incorporated many original features from its former existences as a Palace, Convent and Castle. The castle was the home of the Hospitallers of the Order of Malta and their distinctive motif is featured throughout the Pousada.
The Hotel Crato, is on the northern edge of the Alentejo region, and has been beautifully converted by carefully blending the traditional with modern conveniences. The hotel’s elegant swimming pool is surrounded by beautiful, lush gardens and is the perfect place to relax and unwind under the hot Alentejan sun.
The Hotel Crato has 24 rooms, including 5 superior rooms and 3 suites. All rooms have en-suite bathroom, heating/air conditioning, minibar, bathrobes, hairdryer, safe, cable TV and internet access. One of the luxury suites is located in the castle’s medieval tower, in a former dungeon.
The Crato Pousada’s restaurant is worth a visit due to its excellent menu and its unique and unforgettable ambience.
This Pousada was invited to join the exclusive ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World’ Group in January 2015 in recognition of its unique location, luxury accommodation and excellent customer service.
